Tax Scanner – Paczuski Taudul Tax Advisory Firm offers free monitoring of changes in tax law
Frequently changing tax regulations pose a significant challenge for anyone who needs to keep their tax knowledge up to date. Information on successive legislative changes and the stages of the legislative process has traditionally been scattered across various sources, while publicly available tools have made it difficult to track progress on draft legislation. To address this issue, Paczuski Taudul Tax Advisory Firm has developed and made available, free of charge, Tax Scanner – an online platform that allows users to monitor all changes in tax law in one place, including those embedded in legislation concerning other areas.
he tool is available at skanerpodatkowy.pl and makes it easy to track the progress of tax legislation currently being considered by the government, the Sejm and the Senate. Powered by AI, the system not only retrieves information on new legislation but also automatically summarises the most important tax changes, identifies the parties affected and outlines the potential practical implications of the new provisions coming into force. Tax Scanner users can also easily check the current stage of the legislative process and view the timetable for further work on draft legislation.
Paczuski Taudul’s Tax Scanner consolidates data from as many as six different sources: the Government Legislation Centre, the Sejm, the Senate, the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, the Journal of Laws and the Council of Ministers’ List of Legislative and Programme Work. The data is updated daily.
How does it work?
Tax Scanner requires no login. The tool is free of charge and available at skanerpodatkowy.pl. To help users navigate the large volume of legislation under consideration, the platform organises draft legislation into 12 thematic categories. Users can filter the list of current legislative proposals by source, keywords in titles or descriptions, stage of the legislative process, and the nature of the proposed change.
Importantly, the system uses AI to identify tax-related changes embedded in legislation concerning other areas. Tax Scanner analyses the content of all legislative proposals in Poland rather than relying solely on their titles. If a tax-related amendment appears in legislation governing a different area, Tax Scanner will identify it as well.
Tax Scanner also helps users identify legislation that has become “stuck in the legislative freezer”. This refers to legal acts for which no changes have been recorded for 90 days, indicating that the legislative process has stalled.
Tax Change Alerts
Professionals working in taxation will also appreciate the email notification feature, which provides updates on changes in specific areas of tax law. In its current form, Tax Scanner allows users to subscribe to email alerts for one of 12 thematic areas, including VAT, CIT and property tax. Whenever Tax Scanner detects an update to a draft within a selected area, it sends an email notification explaining what has changed.
In the future, Tax Scanner is expected to be expanded to include expert commentary and a section featuring media publications. This will enable the platform to become a shared hub for collecting and disseminating knowledge about changes in tax law.
Paczuski Taudul Tax Advisory Firm provides Tax Scanner entirely free of charge. No advertisements will be published on the website, which will remain exclusively informational in nature. The project’s creators also plan to introduce an option for users to make donations to a charitable cause of their choice, from which they will derive no financial benefit themselves.
