This time, we will focus on VAT in international transactions, an area that continues to raise numerous questions for finance and tax departments as well as sales teams. We will also discuss planned changes concerning liability for a company’s tax arrears, which may be particularly relevant to management teams.

The meeting will provide an opportunity not only to gain practical knowledge, but also to exchange experiences and discuss specific challenges businesses encounter in their day-to-day operations. The event will be complemented by breakfast and coffee in an informal, intimate setting.

• Incoterms and VAT

  We will discuss when the trade terms used in international transactions can affect their VAT treatment and in which situations their proper interpretation requires cooperation between sales and tax departments.

• Exports and intra-Community supplies of goods (ICS) – documenting the dispatch of goods

  We will present current practices for documenting the dispatch of goods for export and intra-Community supplies of goods (ICS), as well as discuss planned changes to VAT regulations.

• Liability for a company’s tax arrears

  We will discuss the planned expansion of the group of individuals who may be held liable for a company’s tax arrears. We will outline the proposed changes and consider how businesses and management teams can prepare for the new regulations.
